This is a 10" Yellow cake with Blueberry and Cherry fillings. I used Cream Cheese Frosting. This was for my great-nephew, Patrick Mumm, who graduated from high school in May and leaves for the Marines in July. The cake was a hit at the Farewell Party

Bluey

This cake was for my grandson, Ethan's 4th Birthday! It's a Blue Velvet 11x7 cake with Peach Buttercream filling. Ethan liked Bluey on the cake and liked that the cake and the frosting turned his tongue blue! His big brother also enjoyed the blue cake with Bluey on it!

Flower Garden

This is a very chocolate cake made from 1 mix. The pan really could use 2 mixes as the "fence" around the edge didn't come through so well as I would have liked. The plan belonged to my sister. I've had some fun trying out all the special pans she had purchased through the years.

This cakes goes to my neighbor to celebrate her birthday. She's a wonderful neighbor!

Spiderman!

My grandson is turning 7 in October and I get to celebrate his birthday with him on Sunday. I asked him what cake he would like. He told me chocolate cake. I asked him what theme he would like and he chose Spiderman. I sure hope he likes this Spiderman cake!
The cake was made in the Superhero pan for Superman and/or Batman. I used two mixes to be sure to have a full cake. The icing is Buttercream. Can't wait to hear what he says when he sees it!

Birthday and Graduation

This cake is a 9 x 13-inch white cake with Strawberry filling in the middle. It was a hit at the after church reception celebrating both birthday and the Education for Ministry Graduation for Mark Covey in Newark, New Jersey.

I made this cake at my daughter's in Queens. It was fun to use her kitchen and her tools.

Patriotic Cake II

Red, White and Blue cake once again. 10 inch round Red Velvet and Blue Velvet cakes with white Cream Cheese frosting. This time I put fruit on the top for a lovely finish. My son and grandsons loved the cake on July 3. I shared with neighbors for the next few days.
Cakes are a fun way to share with others!

Bunny Cake for the Boys!

This is the 2nd time I have made a Bunny Cake. This is a Strawberry 6-inch 2-layer "body" with each foot being 1 cupcake. The arms are each 1/2 half of a mini cupcake. The carrots are cut from Orange Slices candy with Buttercream leaves. The eyes are Skittles. The cheeks and foot pads are marshmallows. Only the ears are non-edible.
My grandsons loved the Bunny shape and the taste of the cake. They had fun pulling the ears off and attacking the carrots with them. We had a wonderful Easter celebration together!

July 4th Celebration Cake

This is a 10-in round "Flag" cake. It took two boxes of Red Velvet mix and I made a "Blue Velvet cake also. I followed the guidance of a YouTube video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2-xccf3iCyc) and had a day of fun making and decorating this cake. I used Cream Cheese frosting made to the consistency of Buttercream Decorator's Icing.
My guests really enjoyed the taste as well as the fun of the cake itself. My wonderful neighbors also enjoyed a slice of it!
Missing at this celebration was my husband. He would have loved the gathering and the food and being with us! My son and grandsons could not come; nor could my daughter. Enjoyed their phone calls instead!

Four Years Short of 60 Years

This is a 2-layer 7-inch round Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting.

It was designed for a widow friend who was remembering that her husband died 4 years before they would have celebrated their 6oth. She and I celebrated together. She took the remainder of the cake home to enjoy with her family later.

"Ruby" Anniversary!

Our 40th Wedding Anniversary came: April 25, 2021!
We had been looking forward to a big celebration with family and friends. We had prayed that Covid-19 would be winding down and it would be safe for us to celebrate.
Problem is: We got Covid in January. I experienced mild symptoms and recovered well. My husband died from it on February 16. We were able to share our love and gratitude for our 40 years together in a conversation before he could no longer speak.
I love him so much and I miss him desperately. My children and I celebrated the special day with this cake which my "daughter" helped me make. Four of us enjoyed dinner together and shared cake.

This cake is an 8-inch round Strawberry 3-layer cake with Cream Cheese Icing. The hearts are Rolled Fondant.

I forgot to take a picture before it was cut, but the layers look delicious and it was! The frosting is Cream Cheese.

70th Birthday

My 70th Birthday Cake

John Park, Joy and I celebrated with this cake after a lovely Red Lobster meal John Park ordered for us. It was delightful! I don't remember what kind of cake it was. We did not feel well that night and discovered in the next days that we all had Covid. This was my last celebration with my beloved John Park. He went to the hospital 5 days later, and died 16 days after that. I loved him so! I miss him so much!
